Michelle Denise Cunningham

Michelle Denise "Missy" Cunningham, 57, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, August 17, 2026 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born on February 17, 1969, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Robert Handley and Gloria (Eyler) Handley of Walkersville.

She was a member of Walkersville United Methodist Church. She more recently attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Utica, where she was vice-president of Women's League.

She worked as a cashier at DARCARS until recently when her illness prevented her from doing so.

Missy loved to travel, visit Hershey Park, and celebrating holidays, especially Christmas. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by sons, Cory Cunningham and Andrew Cunningham; her brother, Rob Handley; and many additional family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, August 28, 2026 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Utica), 10621 Old Frederick Road in Thurmont, MD, with a celebration of her life to begin at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
