Michelle Smith, 70, of Bridgeville, Delaware, passed away on March 24, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Kingston, New York, Michelle was the daughter of Shirley Ann Kemlage and Michael Bernard Kemlage. She carried a deep sense of family, strength, and resilience with her throughout her life.
Michelle worked alongside her husband in their family business, Cliff Smith Electric, where she played an integral role in supporting their work and helping build their livelihood together.

Michelle also had a passion for painting, using her creativity to bring beauty and meaning to those around her. These moments brought her peace and happiness, especially when shared with family.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Clifford Smith; her children, Melody Smith (wife Shawn) and Patrick Smith (wife Danielle); and her grandchildren Tristan and Tessa Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Ann Kemlage and Michael Bernard Kemlage, and her brother, Brian Kemlage.
