Mrs. Mildred Louise Dayhoff, 84, of Mt Airy, died on Monday, April 2, 2007, at the Golden Living Center, Frederick. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Dayhoff who died in 1994.

Born on May 27, 1922 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sydnor Claude and Avery Eugenia Bush Gordon. She was a homemaker but at one time worked at the Mt. Airy Sewing Factory. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially at family picnics and gatherings.

Surviving are 4 brothers and sisters; Grace I. Testerman of Middletown, Charlotte M. Groff and husband Bob of York, PA, Sydnor C. Gordon and wife Betty of Owings Mills and Betty L. Lockard and husband Charles of Middletown; a sister-in-law, Margaret Wright of Mt. Airy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters, Robert L. Gordon, Willard A. Gordon, Anna B. Cain and Sylvia K. Linton. She will also be remembered by her special neighbors, Gilbert and Dorothy Grooms, Betty Ifret, Betty Rhinecker and Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Schlotterbeck.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy.

Services: Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 6, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy with Rev. Wallace Lusk officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Church Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
