Nancy Joann Cronise

Nancy Joann Cronise, 88, of Boonsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Donald Eugene Cronise.  Born on November 23, 1934, in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of Harry Hyde Semler and Ida Mae (Shrader) Semler.

She was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Cronise was preceded in death by siblings: Sarah K. Eby, Harold Semler, Roy E. Semler, Gladys Williams, Hilda Mae Baker, Lloyd Semler, Winifred Vickers, Betty G. Butts, Peggy V. Donegan and Evelyne G. Clouser.

She is survived by her sons, David Cronise and wife Lisa, Douglas Cronise and wife Karen; grandchildren: Heather Kendall, Adam Cronise, Joseph Cronise, Jennifer Himrod, Dana Cronise, Richard Riggs and Christopher Riggs; great-grandchildren: Alexis LaRocca, Eric Cronise, Parker Cronise, Brennyn Cronise Dingess, Paden Himrod, Carson Riggs, Gracelynn Riggs, Alaina Riggs and Everleigh Riggs as well as her brother, Joseph Semler and wife Darlene.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 20, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
