Nancy Wenner Orndorff

Nancy Wenner Orndorff, age 90, of Lovettsville, Virginia, passed from this life on August 1, 2026, in Frederick, Maryland.

Born August 26, 1935, in Loudoun County Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George F. Wenner and Catherine Virts Wenner. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Bernard C. Orndorff

Nancy is survived by her children: Jerry Orndorff and wife Gaynelle of Lovettsville, Kenneth Orndorff and Debbie of Lovettsville, Cynthia Orndorff Cramer and husband Gary of Bruceton Mills, WV. Her grandchildren include Laura Cramer, Lindsay Reed and husband Tony, Daniel Orndorff, Rachel Cramer-Johnson and husband Chris, Jarrett Orndorff and Brittany, Nathan Orndorff, Charlee Cramer, and Ty Orndorff. She has 5 great-grandchildren (and one on the way!) Wyatt Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Addilynne Orndorff, Bennett Orndorff and Karli Reed. She was predeceased in death by her brother, Thomas Wenner.

She was the first Lovettsville Community Center coordinator and retired from that position in 1995 after 20 years of dedication. She enjoyed creating classes, workshops, bus trips, and events for citizens.

Growing up she was quite the athlete. She played and coached softball, basketball, and tennis.

Nancy was a tremendously talented crafter. Through her years she quilted, painted, and most recently loved making and sending her homemade cards. But above all, Nancy loved her flower gardens. From spring to fall, you would see her in her yard watering and tending to her flowers.

Nancy is loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

The family would like to thank Nancy’s caregivers and residents of Somerford Assisted Living as well as Frederick Health Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church (12942 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA, 20180)

The family will receive friends Thursday August 6th, from 6-8 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, MD 21716. A funeral service will be held on Friday August 7th at 11 am with Pastor Josh Wullenweber officiating. A graveside service will be held following the service at Union Cemetery in Lovettsville Virginia with fellowship immediately afterwards at New Jerusalem Church (immediately next to the cemetery). The family invites all to attend.
