Nicholas “Nick” Brett Hendricks, 36, of Charles Town, WV passed from this life on Sunday, October 15, 2023.  
Born on January 9, 1987, in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of Brett & Marchiel Hendricks of Williamsport, MD and Terri (Lanham) & Bob Harwood of Metamora, MI.  
Nick was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School class of 2005.  He was a gifted and prolific artist.  During his senior year of high school his original home design was selected to be built by the technical high school.  He was also a skilled mechanic who enjoyed restoring muscle cars, working most recently on a 1965 Mustang Fastback and a 1966 Chevelle Malibu.  Nick also mastered the art of welding and was meticulous when working on a project.   He loved animals and prior to moving to Charles Town owned a small farm in Leonard, MI where he raised cattle, sheep, and chickens. Nick had a passion for football.  He cheered loudest for his favorite teams, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Buffalo Bills.  
Nick was an employee of Amtrack at Union Station in Washington DC since February 2023.  He was a proud member of the BMWED Local 3028.  Prior to Amtrak Nick was an entrepreneur having started his own business, Landarbeiter for Hire, LLC while in Michigan.  
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved brother and best friend Jake Hendricks, his wife Chelsea, his nephew Raleigh Hendricks, and his stepbrother Josh Harwood.  Nick also leaves his grandfather, H. Wesley Lanham and step-grandmother Deb, special cousins Danielle Lanham Naylor, Dakota Bartlett, and Randi Bartlett, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Also surviving were Nick’s constant and treasured companions, his chihuahua, Small Baby, and dachshund, Mr. Pal.
Nick was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gwen Anders Lanham, his paternal grandparents Robert and Joanne Hendricks, and his stepbrother Bobby Harwood.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life.  Donations in Nick’s memory may be made to the Raleigh Hendricks education fund at Jake & Chelsea Hendricks 705 Morison St. Charles Town, WV 25414
