Nina Lee Pugh

Nina Lee Pugh, 80, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Frederick, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Pugh.

Born on July 24, 1944, in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harold Lee Yontz and Nina (Ambrose) Yontz White.

She was a federal employee at the Atomic Energy Commission and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for over 30 years prior to retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family including grandchildren and great grandchildren as often as possible.

She is survived by Son, Aaron Matthew Toms, and wife Amy; grandchildren, Christopher Shewbridge and wife Kim, Larry Baker, Eliza Shewbridge, Anthony Mitrakas and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Naomi, Jayda and Camron Shewbridge, Salen Mitrakas and Paislee Kline; sister-in-law, Vicki Yontz-Strong; nieces, Vanessa and Lindsay Yontz.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Shewbridge, brother, David Yontz and great-grandchildren, Kacey Emily and Geneva Rose Shewbridge.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
