Norma Jean Diller, 87, of Frederick, Maryland, went to be with God on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek in Frederick.
Born on February 3, 1938, in Jonesborough, TN, her biological parents were Health and Nellie (Franklin) Wilmouth but her parents were Jacob and Louise Rogers.
She was the widow of the late Charles W. Diller and fiancé of the late Joseph D. Leister.
Norma Jean attended Damascus High School class of 1956. She was employed at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Mt. Airy, Community Living and PNC both in Frederick.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Patricia Wegner (Mike) of Walkersville; and her grandson, Charles William Diller, Jr. (Maria) of Mt. Airy; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a half sister, Barbara Chappell; and half brothers, Richard and Howard Wilmouth of Virginia; and a special long-time friend, Ruth E. Horner of Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her step-son, Charles William Diller, Sr.; her special sister, Vivian Rogers Braun; three brothers, Clarence, Carl and Johnny Wilmouth; and a half sister, Viola Taylor.
A celebration of Norma Jean's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home in Frederick. Burial will be held at Prospect Cemetery in Mount Airy, MD.
