Norma Jean Eddy

Mrs. Norma Jean Eddy, 84, of Knoxville, MD, formerly of Beaver Falls, PA, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday January 15, 2026, at Fahrney Keedy Senior Living Community in Boonsboro, MD.

Born November 9, 1941, in Wexford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Y. Scott, Sr. and Lettie M. (Parker) Scott.

Norma graduated from Nanty Glo High School, Nanty Glo, PA, in 1959. She attended 2 years of medical secretarial school in Hagerstown, MD, before deciding to be a devoted wife and mother. She rejoined the workforce in the early 1980’s and was employed by Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Beaver Falls, PA, for over 25 years before retiring in 2006.

She was a faithful follower of Christ, her Lord and Savior, and was a member of Chippewa United Methodist Church in Beaver Falls, PA and Valley Baptist Church in Jefferson, MD. She will be remembered for her love for her family, funny sense of humor and generous, kindhearted spirit. She was an avid cook and baker, loved animals, enjoyed being around family and friends and had a special fondness for attending her grandkids school and athletic events.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years John “Jack” Eddy, brother James Scott, brother-in-law James O’Hara, and son-in-law Tom Curry. She is survived by brother Ralph Scott, Jr. (Carol) of Beaver Falls, PA, sister Mary Agnew (Daniel) of Aurora, CO, brother John Scott (Darlene) of Lakewood, CO, sister-in-law Cindy Scott of Sun City, AZ, and sister-in-law Mary O’Hara of Winter Haven, FL. Also surviving are three children Laurie Curry of Winchester, VA, Jon Eddy (Jody) of Landenberg, PA, and Letricia Verosto (Steve) of Knoxville, MD; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held privately at a later date at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
