Olga Warren peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, after a brief illness. She was 28 days shy of her 108th birthday. Olga was a much loved and vibrant wife, mother, and grandmother, who was devoted to her family, her faith, and to life itself. She had a quick wit, and loved to laugh, cook, sew, dance, read, and gather her family together.
She was born in Buffalo, NY in 1915, the sixth of twelve children born to John and Katherine Lukachovsky. She graduated from Hutchinson Central High School and never lost her love for learning. She went to secretarial school and ended up working for the VA where she met the love of her life, Henry, while interviewing soldiers returning from the war. They were married in 1947, and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before he passed in 2007.
Olga is survived by one sister, Dorothy, three children, Peter (Joan), Patricia Foote (Scott), and Michael (Cheryl), 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by 4 sisters, Julia, Anna, Katherine, Teresa, and 6 brothers, John, Samuel, Alex, William, Andrew and George.
Visiting hours will be Thursday evening, April 13th, 6-8 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Service will be Friday, April 14th, at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St, Frederick, MD 21701. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Olga, may be made to Frederick Rescue Mission,419 W South St, Frederick, MD 21701 or Frederick Health Hospice, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick, MD 21701.
