Opal Lee Whitt

Opal Lee Whitt , 87, of Dickerson, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD. She was the loving wife of the late Howard LaFayette Whitt, who predeceased her in 2006.

Born on September 24, 1938, in Kensington, MD, she was the daughter of the late Loring Triplett and Hilda Viola (Lockhart) Triplett.

She is survived by her loving children and their families.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD, with a celebration of Opal's life journey to begin at 1:00 pm. Rev. Tim May will officiate.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
