Otho Baker, Sr.

Otho V. Baker, Sr., 78, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on October 28, 1937, he was the son of Leonard and Emma Baker.
He was a graduate of the Boonsboro High School, Class of 1955.
Otho was employed with Jamison Door, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Improved Order of the Redman in Boonsboro, and Benevola United Methodist Church.
Otho loved working with wood, making just about anything you could think of.
He is survived by his wife Nancy L. Baker; one son, Otho V. Baker, Jr. and Wife Lisa of Ashburn, Virginia; one step son, Joseph H. Reed of Boonsboro; his brother, Daniel Baker of Boonsboro; one granddaughter, Sadie Baker; three grandsons, Joshua Reed, Benjamin Reed, and Justin Baker; one great grandson, Shawn Reed; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Robert A. Reed; and his sister, Isabelle Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Benevola United Methodist Church, 19925 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro. Rev. John Dean will officiate. Interment will follow at Benevola United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
