Patricia Ann Myers German, 91, of Thurmont, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. She was born on February 28, 1935 and was raised in Ijamsville, MD. She attended Ijamsville United Methodist Church where she worshipped most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Nelson W. Myers Sr. and Gladys Linthicum Myers and was sister to the late Nelson W Myers Jr., Erle B. Arnold, Doris K. Hayes, Joyce M. Hamilton and June M. Boone. She was a loving wife to the late Nicholas James German for 33 years.
She is survived by nephew Nicholas B. Pierouchakos, adopted daughter Bonnie L. Pieroucharkos; grandchildren Anthony N. Pierouchakos, Christine N. Eury, Matthew N. Pierouchakos; great-grandchildren Brooke, Blake, Nicholas, Madison, Alexandra, Emma and Camden. She is also survived by nephew, Larry W. Myers and wife Carol and the entire Myers family.
Patricia graduated from Frederick High School, Class of 1953. She completed a 2 year business course from Strayer Business College. She was employed at the Library of Congress as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Personnel until her retirement in 1981. In 1987, she was employed at Hood College until her retirement there in 1996.
She enjoyed going to lunches with friends, family and her close friend of 50 years, Dottie Denchy. She was a big fan of the Washington Commanders and Washington Nationals. She enjoyed watching tennis 24 hours a day. She looked forward to seeing brother-in-law Tony Pierouchakos twice a year visits where they would play gin rummy for hours at a time, or until she won a game! She also enjoyed seeing Toni and niece Antoinette Pierouchakos visit from Tennessee this past Christmas.
The family of Patricia Ann Myers German want to thank Frederick Health Hospice. We would also like to give special thanks to her care givers, April and Lori.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 11 am to 12 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
