Patricia Rae Watkins

Patricia Rae Watkins, 91, of Frederick, was called home by her Savior on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born on December 25, 1933, in Germantown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Miles Ray and Glenna Pearl (Duvall) Smith. She was the wife of the late Bradley Parker Watkins.

Patricia’s main calling was to be a homemaker and also was an instructional aid with Damascus Elementary School. She taught Sunday school and helped in the nursery for 76 years, due to her passion to share Jesus with children. Patricia was a natural born artist mentored by other artists, loved cooking, and especially loved her family “dearly, dearly dearly.”

Patricia is survived by children Jay Bradley Watkins and wife Debbie, Patti Gail Lenko and husband Dan; grandchildren Jonathan, Bethany, Julie, Rebekah, and Sarah; great grandchildren Gauge, Jayce, Finley, Annalise, and Parker Wren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by son Jon Parker Watkins; brother Rev. Robert Smith; and sister Glenna Gay Fetrow

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 11901 Bethesda Church Rd., Damascus, MD 20872. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
