She was a champion of anyone in need.  Paula quietly and lovingly gave her time, energy, compassion, and resources to help meet the needs of many. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret R. (Penny) Campbell and husband, George, Clara J. Caton, and Dana (Paulette) Rusnak; her nieces and nephews; and her dearest and closest friend for many years, Vicki Coughlin.

In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her sisters, Debra L. Walsh and Phyllis C. Walsh Richardson; special brother-in- law, Larry Caton; and the man who, from the moment they met, was the light and love of her life, James (Jimmy) Golden.

A private gathering, in celebration of Paula’s life, was held at Community Living Inc. Frederick. A memorial bench with a plaque bearing Paula’s name was dedicated as a tribute and in her honor by her co-workers and friends at Community Living. The bench was placed in the garden outside the residence where Paula so faithfully and compassionately served the residents for the last 28 of her 34 years at Community Living. In accordance with her wishes, Paula was cremated. Arrangements were provided by Stauffer Funeral Home and Stauffer Crematory, Inc.
