Peggy Hahn, 75, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was the loving wife of John Hahn, with whom she shared more than 56 years of marriage. Born on August 21, 1950, she was the daughter of James Thomas Schultz and Louise Naomi (Putman) Schultz.

Peggy was a 1968 graduate of Frederick High School and worked for many years in the Frederick County Public School System food service department. She was a member of Junior Fire Company and the Junior Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Peggy grew up attending Edgewood Church of God and, for much of her life, belonged to the Church of the Nazarene, later attending South End Baptist Church.

She was an avid reader and baker, and she especially loved baking cookies with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her sons, Rusty Hahn and significant other Samantha Jenkins, and Jake Hahn and wife Chelsey; grandchildren Kyle, Liam, Eva, and Adeline; bonus granddaughter Ashley Jenkins; brother Lee Schultz and wife Mary; sister-in-law Theresa Schultz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Schultz.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Michael Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
