In loving memory, family and friends bids farewell to a remarkable soul, Peggy Ann Nazelrod, who passed away on February 17, 2024. Peggy was born on April 24, 1960, in Frederick, Maryland, but spent her early years in Brunswick before returning to Frederick embarking on a life filled with compassion and service to others.

Following her graduation from Brunswick High School, Peggy joined the workforce at Jeanne Buzzard Workshop with great enthusiasm. Though health challenges led to her early retirement, Peggy turned this setback into an opportunity for volunteer work, channeling her passion for animals into caring for them at various facilities. Her dedication and kindness towards these furry and feathered friends were truly inspirational.

Peggy was known for her fierce independence and unwavering faith. Her spiritual journey started at the United Methodist Church in Brunswick and eventually led her to the Brook Hill United Methodist Fellowship in Frederick, where she found solace and community. A seeker of Christ's teachings, Peggy actively participated in church programs and activities that nourished her soul.

Aside from her devotion to animals and faith, Peggy had a talent for crafts that brought joy to those around her. Her love for creativity was evident in all she did, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Peggy's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving loved ones; siblings, Michael Nazelrod-Woodward and Joseph Nazelrod; nephew, Joseph I. Nazelrod, II; niece, Jennifer Thrush; aunt, Velma Whitlock; uncle, Doug Lewis; numerous cousins; as well as a niece and nephew. Their lives have been touched by her love.
