Penelope Jayne Van Rens

Penelope Jayne Van Rens, 73, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Herman Van Rens.

Born on October 17, 1952, in Aberdeen, SD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Donna Mae (Fitch) Van Hatten.

Penelope's educational journey began at Green Bay East High School, where she graduated in 1970. She furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986.

As a Mortgage Processor in Banking, Penelope brought a wealth of expertise and a personal touch to her work. Her professional life was marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a compassionate understanding of the needs of those she served.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Robert Van Rens and Douglas Van Rens; grandson, Aaron; siblings, Kathy and Joyce and nieces, Alison, Jenny, Amy and Molly.
