Philip Nevin Rebert

Mr. Philip Nevin Rebert, 89, of Frederick, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Northampton Manor Health Care. He was the husband of 67 years to Mary Frances (Croghan) Rebert.

Born on December 30, 1916 in Illinois he was the son of the late G. Nevin and Naomi (Stoneseifer) Rebert. He was a graduate of Frederick High School and Gettysburg College. A member of the Maryland National Guard, Philip was an ensign in the U.S. Navy serving on Guam during WW II.

Working as a clerk for Ox Fibre Brush Company from 1938 to 1966, he also served as assistant treasurer. He then went to work as Comptroller for Frederick Iron and Steel retiring in 1981. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Middleway, WV for 25 years, returning to Frederick in 1997.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Besides his wife survivors include his daughters: Natalie Nicky Warner and husband Larry, Michele Krantz and husband Richard all of Frederick, Katrina Tregoning and husband John of Mt. Prospect, IL, Patricia Quinn and husband Jeffrey of Rye, NH, and Mary Martha Miller of Marion, SC; twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death also by his two sisters, Elizabeth R. MacGregor and Catherine R. Kennedy; and a son-in-law, David Miller.

Visitation: N/A

Services: As per Mr. Rebert's wishes there will be no services.
