Ragan Lee Haupt, born on November 6, 1946, in Berkeley County, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Fred and Ruth Unger and the brother of Janette Moats.

In 1965, Ragan married his high school sweetheart, Linda Ann Haupt, beginning a remarkable 59-year journey together. Through life's joys and challenges, they remained devoted to one another and were guided by their unwavering Christian faith.

After earning his GED, Ragan proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a successful career in sales and sales management, retiring from Battery Warehouse. Outside of his professional life, Ragan was an avid German Shepherd breeder and took great pride in raising and caring for his dogs.

Nothing brought Ragan greater happiness than his family. He was a devoted father to his three sons, Clifford L. Haupt, R. Shawn Haupt, and Jason E. Haupt, and enthusiastically supported them in all their pursuits. He was a dedicated sports dad, attending countless baseball games and creating treasured memories with family and friends. Ragan especially loved spending time at Chincoteague Island and riding the surrey along the Ocean City boardwalk. Favorite memories of Ragan involve games of paintball, Wiffle Ball, and badminton. He also had a lifelong passion for Jeep Wranglers and high-performance cars, with his final automotive pride and joy being a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack.

Ragan leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion. He is survived by his three sons, Clifford L. Haupt, R. Shawn Haupt and his wife, Kelly L. Haupt, and Jason E. Haupt and his wife, Tahnee B. Haupt. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Brandon R. Haupt and his partner, Becca L. Campbell; Bethany A. Haupt; Dalton S. Haupt; Morgan M. Haupt; Madison D. Haupt; and Maura M. Haupt. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn P. Campbell, Easton R. Haupt, Savannah G. Haupt, and Camden M. Haupt.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Washington County Hospice for their exceptional care, kindness, and unwavering support during Ragan's final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Ragan's beloved charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
