Randy Wayne Huffer

Randy Wayne Huffer, 66, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Born on October 27, 1956, in Honolulu, HI, he was the son of Jacquelyn (Pryor) Huffer of Jefferson, MD and the late Wayne Eugene Huffer.

Randy was a Brunswick High School graduate where he was a member of the Marching Band (playing the trumpet) & FFA, also a member of the 4-H Beef, Sheep & Swine club showing beef cattle at the Frederick Fair. He worked many years in the field of building construction for the family construction business (Huffer & Huffer Inc.).  His last job was working maintenance at the US Army Garrison at Fort Detrick. He was a perfectionist in his work and had a special talent for fixing anything.

Randy grew up on the family farm where he loved spending time with his grandson’s hunting.  He was a seafood lover who also enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, Nascar, spending time on his boat and at his beach place in Fenwick with his family and Treasure Beach family. He truly loved his Jack Russell’s Scooter and Sadie.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Megan Huffer (Patrick DeLashmutt), son Ryan Huffer (Ana Long), brother Mike Huffer (Melissa), and grandchildren Carter Metz, Ryder Huffer, Oaklyn Hapeman & Logan DeLashmutt.

Randy was preceded in death by his partner, Andrea Stossel, father Wayne Huffer, maternal and paternal grandparents, grandson Logan Luaces-Huffer, and nephew Bradley Huffer.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD, where a celebration of Randy's life journey will take place at 2pm, followed by a continued celebration at the American Legion in Brunswick immediately after.

Memorial donations may be made to Brunswick High School Marching Band, Jack Russell Rescue, or the Brunswick High School FFA.
