Raymond D. Monninger

Raymond D. Monninger, 78, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home.

Born on September 23, 1945, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roy Victor Monninger and Florence (Thomas) Monninger. 

He was self-employed as owner of Raymond's Farm Machinery. He loved to buy and sell and wheel and deal with the tractor dealers. He loved to rise up early, get a cup of coffee, feed the cats, and make the next deal. 

Raymond is survived by his children, Robin Monninger of Greencastle, PA, Raymond Monninger, Jr. and wife, Shawn, of Boonsboro, and Crystal Monninger of Waterford, VA; granddaughters, Alethea Blumenauer and husband, Jason, of Smithsburg, Courtney Gould and husband, Evan, of Midlothian, VA, Alyssa Shifler and husband, Zachary, of Boonsboro, Kaylee Agha and husband, Zeshan, of Greencastle, and Lilith Franklin of Waterford, VA; sister, Rebecca Rohrer and husband, Jerry, of Rohrersville; brother-in-law, Frank Brinkley; sisters-in-law, Joan Monninger, Shirley Monninger, and Alice Monninger; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Logan and Ava Blumenauer, Carter, Henley and Sutton Gould, Mason Shifler, and Zoe Agha; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Victor (Vic), Robert (Bob) and Charles (Bim) Monninger; sister, Rose Brinkley; and great-grandson, Jeremiah Monninger.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
