Mrs. Rhonda Rae Edlefsen, 62, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center.
She was the wife of Gregory L. Edlefsen, her husband of 41 years.
Born August 12, 1951 in San Bernardino, CA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew S. and Myrthel F. Cook Rothenberg.
Mrs. Edlefsen retired from Software Consulting at SoftMed and previously worked for Frederick County Social Services Adult Education. She was a member of Hadassah and German Shepard Rescue. She loved her dogs Reno and Shadow and used them as therapy dogs for patients in the hospital. Rhonda enjoyed cross stitch, embroidery and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Brandon L. Edlefsen and wife Janelle of Herndon, VA. and Cameron R. Edlefsen and wife Kristy of Alexandria, VA, grandchildren Avery, Rachel, Paris, Maclane, Rexton and Abel, siblings Paul Rothenberg and wife Antoinette of Glenn Burnie, MD and Mark Rothenberg of Raleigh, NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may visit with the family at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, April 26, from1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm
Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, to Mercy Health Foundation (Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease), 301 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, MD 21202.
