Richard Grey

Richard Thomas Grey of Derwood, Maryland (originally from Bethesda, MD), passed away on January 24, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.

Richard was the fifth child and the middle son of Edward and Mabel Grey, and was predeceased by his sister Doris and brothers Louis and William. He is survived by his sisters Jenny, Ethel, Evelyn and Ruth Ann.

Richard was married for 51 years to Brenda L. Grey (predeceased April 2020). They shared 7 children together, Joyce, Clark, Scott, Brian, Beth, Rachel and Bruce, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Richard took great pride in his career with IBM that spanned over 35 years. He was kind, intelligent, inspiring, and selfless. He was a real people person who always saw others and life in a positive light, and he had a wonderfully youthful spirit. He was a devoted husband and an extremely loving Dad and Grandad.

He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him and who cannot wait to see him once again.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, Maryland.
