Richard Lee Hahn, Sr., 76, of Rohrersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. He was the loving husband to Mary Hahn for 57 years.

Born on December 30, 1949, in Brownsville, MD, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Helen (Badger) Hahn.

In 1968, he graduated from Boonsboro High School. Richard Lee retired from Canam Steel after 43 years of employment.

He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Richard Lee loved to travel and spent a lot of time with his dog, Willie.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Richard L. "Tater" Hahn, Jr. and wife, Donna, of Hagerstown, Terry L. Hahn and wife, Loree, of Keedysville and David A. Hahn and wife, Edna, of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, Stacie Banzhoff and husband, Samuel, of Keedysville, Brittany Horner and husband, Joey, of Germantown, Jessica Miller and fiancé, Bryson, Patricia Hahn and William Hahn, both of Hagerstown; five great-grandchildren, Skylee, Brody and Brentley, Axel, and Addison.

Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert; and a sister, Betty Root.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.

A celebration of Richard's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the funeral home. Rev. Calvin Park will officiate. Burial will be private.
