Richard Lee Jensen

Richard Lee Jensen, 78, of Thurmont, MD, passed away on July 7, 2026, at his home.

Born on February 23, 1948, in Santa Cruz, CA, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Wanda (Butcher) Jensen. Richard was the husband of Tanya I. Jensen, his wife of 30 years.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard serving during the Vietnam War. He was a car salesman/manager for his entire career.. He enjoyed karaoke, playing video games, and traveling to Capitola, CA. Richard’s fondest memories were of his teenage years, when he would spend his time surfing. He was a devoted husband and father.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by daughters Tawni Pardue, Misty Matulich, and Dusti Zuniga; stepdaughters Jennifer Young and Kimberly Nyilasi; and 9 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother, Wanda Saindon, his father, Kenneth Jensen, his sisters Cece and Patricia.

Funeral services will be private.
