Richard" Dick" Morgan, 92, of Frederick, entered his eternal resting place with the Lord Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was surrounded by his children and loving wife, Sharon. He was born August 25, 1933 to Norman and Catherine Morgan.
He proudly served his nation by serving in the United States Army for ten years.
Dick and Sharon owned and operated their own home improvement business for over twenty-five years, where she operated as the brain and he was the brawn.
He had a talent for working with his hands and was a skilled carpenter, a loving father and a hard worker. He enjoyed being active in the Jefferson Ruritan, where he could be found on Wednesday nights or helping with their winter butcherings by mixing sausage, and he enjoyed watching WWE wrestling on Friday's. He was a family man at heart, but he had a special place for his grandchildren, he truly loved to spend time with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Sharon Morgan, children Christina Brown (Geoffrey), Sharon Kay Hubley (Chris), Sherry Stevens, Mary Ann Gastley, as well Tammy and Dennis Morgan, his siblings Shirley Morgan Stone Darnell, Sandra Hollenbugh, and Howard D. Morgan. He is survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Allen, Corey Burda, Sean, Ashton, Julianna, Marcus, and Kyle Hubley, along with Cain, and Levi Brown. Dick also leaves behind two great-grandchildren and all the beloved puddle pups. He will also be missed by special friends; George Dreyer and Dave Burda.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Morgan, and Billy Morgan, as well as his sister's Joany Morgan, and Carol Warfield, and a granddaughter Morgan Jones.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, Maryland. A celebration of Richard's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the funeral home. The funeral will be presided over by Pastor, Kevin Tressler. Burial will follow services at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Reception will be held immediately after burial services, at Jefferson Ruritan Center. In lieu of flowers please give donations to Jefferson Ruritan, 4603B Lander Rd, Jefferson, MD 21755.
