Richard Allen "Ricky" Thompson, 78, of Frederick, passed from this life on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Elkton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkton, MD

Born on January 17, 1946, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late John Franklin Thompson and Mary Irene (Seiss) Thompson.

Ricky worked for several years at Fairchild in Germantown, then 10 years at National Bureau of Standards. He loved people, especially neighbors, and would lend a helping hand whenever he could. Ricky enjoyed his life, and he lovingly cared for every creature that ventured onto his property. He was very creative, loved music, tinkering with electronics, and spending time with his cats.
He is survived by sister, Barbara Ann Keyser (Bill), many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, John Thompson Jr. (Kazuko), Mary Thompson Connelly, and James Thompson; and brother-in-law, Clint Mulks.

Services for Ricky were private.
