Richard Lee Young, Sr.

Richard Lee "Ricky Buck" Young, Sr., 68, of Hagerstown, passed from this life on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his home.

Born on July 1, 1958, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the Carrie (Moser) and the late Glenn Young, Sr.

He graduated from Frederick High School 1976. Ricky Buck was employed Walter W. King until he retired after 30 years of service.

He was a die-hard fan of the Washington Redskins, an avid fisherman, and he loved collecting sports memorabilia pocket knives.

Ricky Buck is survived by is wife, Linda G. Young of Rocky Ridge; son, Richard "Ricky", Jr. of Hagerstown; stepchildren, Kathleen McManus of Rocky Ridge and Ryan McManus of Frederick; grandson, Remy Roberts of Knoxville, TN; step-grandchildren, Blake McManus of Thurmont, Colin McManus of Rocky Ridge, Mackenzie McManus of Frederick and Lena Bussard of Frederick; brother and sisters, Glenn "Bucky" Young, Jr. and Ida Young both of Adamstown and Connie DeGrange and husband, Howard, of New Oxford, PA; and stepniece and nephew, Amy Gouker and Christopher DeGrange.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his sister, Ida Young, 5539 Mountville Road, Adamstown, MD 21710.
