Rick Michael Jordan

Rick Michael Jordan, 60, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Heather Jordan and father of Lindsey Jordan.

Born on April 17, 1965, in Pekin, Illinois, Rick was the son of Roland Jordan and Judith (Cody) Purdy. He graduated from Pekin Community High School and went on to attend Illinois State University.

Rick built a career in patent research, initially working with several law firms before founding his own company, World Patent Services, Inc., where he served as President.

Outside of work, Rick lived life with a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid duck hunter, fisherman, an enthusiastic SCCA road racer, and a devoted member of Lab Rescue LRCP. Alongside Heather, he fostered countless Labrador Retrievers, helping them find loving “furever” homes.

In addition to his wife and daughter, Rick is survived by his brother, Mark; sister-in-law Angie; sister-in-law Cheryl (John); and his nieces: Paige (Sam), Cody (Ethan), Jessica (Brendan), and Taylor (Adam). He is also remembered with love by his mother-in-law, Jean, several great-nieces and nephews, and his cherished four-legged companions, JoJo and Nismo.

Rick is proceeded in death by his grandparents, his father, Roland Jordan, and father-in-law Ray Bowen.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Friday, October 17th, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. A celebration of Rick’s life journey will follow at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lab Rescue LRCP.
