Robert F. "Bob" Gauss Jr., a dedicated self-employed electrician, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Gerrardstown, West Virginia, after a courageous battle with numerous health issues, with his wife and his family by his side.

Born on September 11, 1960, Bob graduated from Catoctin High School in 1978 and went on to become a Master Electrician, dedicating over thirty years to his trade. His commitment to excellence in his work was evident, earning the respect of many in the community and beyond.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was a passionate individual with many interests. He was a certified scuba diver, competition speed shooter and was active with the Lions Club. His love for the outdoors was reflected in his hobbies which included sailing, camping, scuba diving and kayaking, where he created lasting memories with friends and family.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Robin Gauss, and his children: Amber Collis, Jordan Gauss, Ryan Gauss and wife Georgia, as well as his stepsons, Kyle Roberts and Jerry Roberts. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Jackson Collis, Landon Collis, Aria Gauss, Conor Gauss and Rowan Gauss, and step-grandchildren Aurora Roberts and Harmony Roberts. Additionally, he is remembered by his brothers J. Christopher Gauss and wife Kathy, James Gauss and wife Shannon, brother-in-law Tony Shower and partner Terry; brother-in-law Darren Topper, sister-in-law Cheryl Peters, sister-in-law Sandra Hawkins, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Crystal Gauss, his mother-in-law Pauline Topper, and his nephew Jon Gauss.

Bob's legacy will be felt through the lives he touched, the stories shared, and the knowledge imparted to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to defray costs.

The family will hold a Gathering of Friends on Thursday, December 4th from 3-5 PM , at the Carriage House Inn, located at 200 South Seton Avenue, Emmitsburg MD 21727, at Joann's Ballroom on the second floor.
