Robert Edward Hawkins

Robert Edward Hawkins “Hawk” 61, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Kline Hospice in Mount Airy, MD. 
 
Born on February 10, 1962, in Olney, MD he was the son of Robert Earl Hawkins and Joan Olean (Baker) Hawkins of Damascus, MD. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Cody Robert Hawkins 
(Allie Ramirez), grandson Caius Lawrence Hawkins, sister Sharon Ann Sexton (Mike Sexton) niece Nicole Mayhew (Justin Mayhew), great nephew Jax Mayhew, great niece Briella Mayhew, longtime friend and mother of his son, Kathy Burdette, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was very close with his extended family. 

Preceded in death by his nephew Michael Robert Corse, paternal grandparents Lawrence Franklin Hawkins and Mary Frances Stotler, as well as maternal grandparents Kenneth Malcolm Baker and Betty Snyder Beall.  

Robby was an avid truck driver, who loved being on the road and spending time with his fellow truck driver friends. He took great pride in always making sure his dump truck was kept immaculate.  Robby was a super fan of country music star, Waylon Jennings.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family at his father’s sod farm. If you were ever looking for him, you could always find him in his garage working on a new project.
 
The family will receive guests from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home.  A service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.  Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.   Immediately following, the family will welcome guest for refreshments and a celebration of life at Lewistown Fire Hall, 11101 Hessong Bridge Road, Frederick, MD 21701.
