Roberta LaMarca Harper of Frederick, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at 6:20 a.m. at Home with her loving husband Jerry beside her. Roberta died at the age of 77, following a courageous battle with heart disease.

Roberta was born on May 4,1948 in Washington, DC and lived in Silver Spring. She attended Montgomery Blair High School of Silver Spring and graduated in 1967. She met her high-school sweetheart, Jerry Thomas Harper at age 15 and they were blessed with 59 years of marriage. The couple created a life together with their boys Jeffrey & Gregory and moved from Silver Spring to a new home in Middletown in November of 1977. She grew to love Middletown and worked in the cosmetics department (with Margaret) at Hess’s in the FSK Mall. Afterwards she accepted a supervisory position at Standard Savings and Loan, Prudential Mortgage, Norwest, and Wells Fargo where she later retired at age 62. She was adventurous and loved having a good time with family, friends (especially Mary & Laurie) and those around her. She was a first generation American Italian and was proud of her Sicilian heritage. She loved bingo, traveling with the family across country, and to Hawaii. Her hobbies were flea marketing and antiquing, genealogy, and quilting (as she was also a member of Quilting Guild in Middletown). Roberta is recognized as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Carroltown Chapter.

Roberta is survived by her husband Jerry Thomas Harper and sons Jeffrey Thomas Harper (wife Jill Harper) and Gregory Thomas Harper (wife Heather Harper). Grandchildren are Griffin Thomas Harper & Camryn Rose Harper; Gabrielle Leigh Harper, Morgan Marie Guidetti & Jeffrey Thomas Harper II, step grandsons Shepard Quinn Boyd & Levi Carson Boyd along with step granddaughter Ainsley Marie Jeter. She is proceeded in death by her parents Liborio Filippo LaMarca and Stepmother, Ruby Beane LaMarca. Roberta was the oldest of her siblings, preceded in death by her brother Phillip LaMarca and still living, sister Linda Sprouse (LaMarca) and half-sister Pam Waters (LaMarca).
