Robert {Bob} C. Bonney

March 28, 1922 — January 9, 2007

Mr. Robert Bob C. Bonney, 84 of Walkersville, MD., died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick. He was the husband of Evelyn Gromko Bonney his wife of 61 years.

Born March 28, 1922 in Phillipsville, PA, he was the son of the late Milton and Gladys Place Bonney.

Mr. Bonney was a standards administrator at Bettis Atomic Power Plant for 29 years. He was a graduate of Columbus High School in PA and attended the University of Pittsburgh. While living in North Irwin, PA, he was the tax collector, borough secretary and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Shidle Lodge #601 in Irwin, PA. Bob was an avid hunter and bowler.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children Roberta Bobbie Jones of Michigan, Linda James and husband Gordon of CA and Patricia Grimm and husband Barry of PA, five grandchildren Scott Jones, Brian Jones, Kevin James, Keith James, and Bonney Grimm, six great grandchildren, two brothers E. Jackson Bonney and wife Kay of DE and Richard Bonney and wife Lois of Idaho and his son-in-law Luther Spike Jones. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Services: A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Monday, January 15, at 11:00 a.m. with the Memorial Funeral Service to follow with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be private.
