Robert Charles Record

Mr. Robert Charles Record, 85 of Hagerstown and a former resident of Mt. Airy for nearly 30 years died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Washington County Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lillian Marie Simmons Record who died on June 10, 2001.

Born in Rome, NY on April 15, 1921, he was the son of the late Wolford and Edith Record. Robert was an electrician for the State of New York for many years.

He served as grand master of his Masonic Lodge in New York, and was a volunteer fireman with the King's Park, Long Island, NY fire department. While in Mt. Airy he was a member and sang in the choir at the St. James Episcopal Church. He and his wife were member of Pete's Pal RV Club.

Survivors include his daughter Jacqueline Hope Hetterly and husband John of Frederick; two sons, Kenneth A. Record and Gerald W. Record both of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a brother Gerald Record of Smithtown, Long Island, NY.

Robert also had a son, Robert C. Record, Jr. who proceeded him in death.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 13, 2007 with Rev. Ron Reeves officiating. Interment will be private.
