Robin Reidt Tayman

Mrs. Robin Reidt Tayman (79) of Frederick, MD, died July 18, 2026. She was the wife of Dwight Tayman. Born July 3, 1947, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Mr. Robert Reidt and Barbara (Titus) Reidt.

Mrs. Tayman was a graduate of Walkersville High School, class of 1965, and a 1969 graduate of the University of Maryland. She received her master’s degree from Hood College in 1991. Right after college she taught at Riverdale Elementary School, then she taught at The Wee Folks School. She retired from teaching at Carroll Manor Elementary School in 2009. She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School & Bible School for many years. She was also a member of Post 11 American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Tayman was married to Dwight Tayman for 54 years. Mrs. Tayman is survived by 2 sons, Michael D. Tayman and wife Eun of Jefferson, MD, and Matthew R. Tayman of Frederick, MD. Additionally, Mrs. Tayman is survived by one sister, Barbara Farra, and two nieces, Bethany Lee & Laura Myers.

After retiring from teaching, Robin continued to enjoy visiting family and friends, going to her condo in Ocean City, Maryland, traveling to National Parks throughout the United States and cruising with friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Special Olympics of Maryland at P.O. Box 2157, Baltimore, MD 21203-2157 in honor of Robin Tayman. Services are private.
