Romualda Biosca McRorie, 92, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late James P. McRorie for 51 years.
Born on February 7, 1934, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis Biosca and Celia (Zdanowicz) Biosca.
Romualda was a 1951 graduate of Leonia High school in NJ, where she played basketball and field hockey. She also attended University of Vermont for two years where she discovered her love of skiing. Ronnie, as her friends called her, was a sales associate and secretary at Hecht’s department store. This is where she first met James. She later accepted a file clerk typist position at Vitro Corporation, where much to her surprise, James was now working and the rest is history.
Romualda lived and loved her faith. She was an active member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, where she served as Eucharist minister, the church cleaning crew and as one of the funeral lunch ladies. Romualda also enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, lunch with friends and jig saw puzzles.
She is survived by Monica Lester (Bob) and their daughters Christina and Alexandra; Philip McRorie and his daughter Shelley; Theresa McRorie Cullen (Larry) and their daughters Nicole and Veronica; Juliana Kelley (Paul) and their daughter Emily.
She is also survived by her brother Dr. Roderick Biosca (Elizabeth) and sister Cecelia Biosca, a special cousin Thomas Zdanowicz, 12 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Louis Biosca, her daughter in law Kathleen, granddaughter Allena and great granddaughter Charlotte.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11am Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Rd., Ijamsville, MD 21754.
Interment will follow at St Joseph Carrollton Manor.
