Ronald Lee Chaney

Ronald "Buck" Chaney, 82, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this Life on Thursday May 28, 2026 at his home. He was the husband of 61 years to Linda Chaney. 

Born on September 14,1943, he was the son of late Raymond and Betty Chaney. Ronald was a working man through his life. He drove dump trucks and tractor trailers for most of his career. Ronald loved working in the garage on cars. He loved his Nascar Sundays. He was one of a kind and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving father, and will always be loved and missed deeply.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his son, Ronnie Chaney and wife Kim, daughter Laura Line and husband Steven; Grandson Kyle Line, grand-daughters Amanda Castle and husband Justin, Ashley Shoemaker and husband Ernie, Morgan Schroyer and husband Adam and Great-Grandchildren Justin Castle, Jr., Grace Castle, Olivia Castle, Faith Shoemaker, Colt Shoemaker, Rylee Shoemaker, Amelia Schroyer and baby Schroyer on the way.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 4, from 10 to 11 AM at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, where a funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.
