Ronald Virts

Ronald Eugene Virts, 78, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek in Frederick, MD.

Born on May 14, 1947, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Eugene Virts and Alice (Hildebrand) Virts.

Ron graduated from Frederick High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he became a Sargent and served 4 years as a Munitions Specialist, during the Vietnam war era. He was honorably discharged. Ron was very proud of his service. After leaving the service, he worked at M&M Electric, American Optical, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Ron is survived by his sister Lu Ann Boyer (James) of Frederick, MD, his nephew Jason King of Bailey CO, and his step niece Jamie Howard (Rick), of Windsor Mill, MD,
