Ronald Thomas Boone, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Thomas Boone, 62, of Frederick, died peacefully at his home among family members after a courageous nine month battle with cancer, on Tuesday, December 26, 2006.

Born on July 25, 1944 in Frederick County he was a son of the late Meredith and Bertha ( Dodd ) Boone. He was raised by his beloved late grandmother Carrie Boone and his uncle and aunt, the late Frank and Isabelle Houff, who were his foster parents.

Married on April 1, 1966, he was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Kitty Lee Boone and a beloved father to his children, Ronald Thomas Boone, Jr. and Kimberly Lynn.

Surviving in addition to his immediate family are his sisters Bertha Morgan, Mary Morgand and Darlene Boone, a brother Ralph Boone, all of Frederick, sister-in-law Bonnie Albaugh of Union Bridge and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He will also be fondly remembered by his daughters' fiance', Mr. Pete Forrest and the numerous friends he acquired over the years.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Doris Appel, Gerry appel and Amy Appel, and brothers Robert Boone, Sonny Boone and James Boone.

Mr. Boone was employed as a pressman for the Frederick News Post for a total of 30 years. He enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, cruising in his street rod, and spending time with his family. He designed and built his home with the help of his wife. He was a member of the Frederick Elks Lodge.

Services: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Saturday, December 30, from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a.m. at which time services will begin. Pastor Gene Cregger will officiate. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
