Rony Josue Cabrera

Our beloved Rony Josue Cabrera, 22, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, May 25, 2025 during a tragic multi-vehicle accident.

Rony was born on November 7, 2002, and was the beloved son of Dimas A. Cabrera Alfaro and Norma Garcia Orozco. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: younger sister Melanie, older brother Jason, grandmother Lourdes Orozco de Garcia, grandmother Irma Esmeralda Alfaro de Cabrera, girlfriend Josie Carmien, and a multitude of friends. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Matías Garcia Paloalto and grandfather Dolores Cabrera. He will be deeply missed by many.

Rony attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School and graduated in 2021. He served in the United States Army as an Electronic Warfare Specialist from 2021 to 2022. He served as a police officer for the city of Gaithersburg, Maryland in 2024. At the time of his passing, he was pursuing an apprenticeship and had plans to become an electrician. He had a passion for lifting weights, video games, nature, and trying out new restaurants, shows, and movies.

Rony Josue Cabrera was a light to everybody who knew him. His smile, laughter, and energy were infectious. He was ambitious, compassionate, and loving. He was the best of the best and had heart of gold.

The family will be receiving friends for a celebration of Rony’s life at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Saturday, June 21st from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.
