Roy Jennings Roberts

Roy Jennings Roberts, 76, of Knoxville, MD passed away at his home on November 9, 2025.

Roy was born on May 25, 1949, in Washington, DC to Cecil and Wanda Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers; Jimmy and Jerry Roberts.

He is survived by Darlene Roberts, his loving wife of 46 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory their children Roy Roberts Jr (Kelly), Sean Cutchens (Jennifer), Cathrene Geoghegan (Robert), Heather Danna (Adam), Jason Roberts (Shelley); a proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren; great-grandfather of eleven; and great-great grandfather of two. He is remembered by his brother Allan Roberts (Carolyn), as well as many nephews, colleagues and friends.

Roy spent his working life as a self-employed flooring contractor for over 50 years, retiring in 2019. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and providing lots of laughs with his sarcastic wit. He took pride in spending time with family, specifically at Christmas where he was passionate about the gift giving process. No gift was given unless it was delivered by the family “Santa”.

A remembrance ceremony will be held on Friday, November 14th at 5pm followed by a celebration of life reception until 7pm at the American Legion, 18 S Maple St. Brunswick, MD 21716.
