Sally Elens Garst

Sally Elens Garst, 71, of Frederick, MD passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 of metastatic breast cancer, a challenge she faced with the same stoic determination as many others throughout her life.
She was born on December 16, 1951, in Palo Alto, CA, moving frequently as a Navy daughter until arriving in Pensacola by age 17. There she met Paul, her husband of 48 years, and became a fixture of the local sports community during her long tenure at the Pensacola Sports Association.
She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Paul Garst; her husband, Paul Henry Garst; and her brother, James McEvoy Elens.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Weaver; her brother, Robert Elens; her son, Brian James Garst, and daughter-in-law, Kasima Garst; and her cherished granddaughter, Emma Wilawan Garst.
