Sandra Halliday Wilson

Sandy, age 87, passed away peacefully in Frederick, MD on Oct. 26, 2025 after struggling from Parkinson’s and Dementia. Sandy was born on Nov 13, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois.

She is survived by her husband of 64 yrs., Jack W. Wilson, daughters Jennifer McGuire, Amy (Bob) Reilley and son Scott (Michelle) Wilson. Grandchildren: Bryce (Amanda), Taylor (Brandon), Dalton (Ceileigh), Connor, Shane (Katherine), Logan (Parker). She has 2 great grandsons: Kellan and Colt.

She is preceded in death by her parents Margaret Linnemann and David Halliday, as well as siblings Nancy Bechtold and David Halliday.

Sandy and Jack married in Oct 1961 in Highland Park, Ill. Sandy graduated from Monmouth College in Ill and worked as a PE teacher in her younger years. They moved their family from Palatine, Ill to Medford, NJ in 1977 where Sandy worked at Medford Nursery as an Admin Assistant. Upon retirement in 2004, they moved to Seaford, DE to enjoy boating on the Nanticoke River.

Sandy enjoyed swimming, tennis, sewing and most importantly, spending time with family. She was an amazing wife, mother, Nana and friend. She was very giving of her time through volunteering. She will be sadly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heartfields Assisted Living as well as Frederick County Hospice for all their support. A Celebration of Life will be held for Sat. Dec 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick at 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD 21702, with catering to follow.
