Sharon Joanne Eckenrode

Mrs. Sharon Joanne Eckenrode, 72, of Frederick, Maryland died Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her daughter’s home.

Born on March 11, 1953 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Shaw (Lewis Cline) and Albert Cline and the wife of the late Ronald Eckenrode for 51 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Golden and husband, Scott, and Christina Eckenrode; son, Ronald Eckenrode; sisters, Glendora Smith, Dorris Smith, and Marlin Biddinger; brothers, Benjamin Cline, Robert Cline, and Larry Cline. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaretta Tyeryar; brothers, Jack Cline and Dennis Cline.

Sharon dedicated an impressive 38 years to Giant Food where she was a cashier. She had a love for jewelry and enjoyed playing bingo. She looked forward to the holidays and spending time with family. Her homemade Christmas cookies and mayonnaise cake will truly be missed!

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD . A celebration of life will be begin at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
