Sharon Hoffman, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Frederick, MD.
Born May 19, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Leroy MacKenzie and Olive MacKenzie.
Sharon was a graduate of Frederick High School in 1965. Her work history included being a farmer, and accounting for numerous businesses. She owned and operated Hobby Horse Concessions for over 15 years with her daughter Hope and grandchildren. For 14 years she was a bus driver for Frederick County Public Schools until her retirement.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as being outdoors. Sharon loved traveling with her concession business and meeting new peoople, playing bingo, crocheting, sewing and had a great love of animals, especially Kevee her little white Pomeranian, and Scarlett, her black Pomeranian.
Sharon is survived by her daughters Hope Elizabeth Hoffman, and Michelle Renee Hoffman. Grandchildren Bradley Allen Wentz (Brooke), Nicole Maree Wentz. Great-granddaughters Kinsley Layne Wentz, Willow Grace Wentz. She is further survived by her brother John MacKenzie (Sharon) and numerous additional family members. Sharon will be missed by her lifelong friend James Grumbine of Unionville, and many family and friends and her furry friends, Kevee, Cammie, and Crystal.
She was predeceased by her husband A. Reno Hoffman Jr, daughter Marlene Hoffman, sister Mary F. Main and brother-in-law Anthony Main, and brother Robert “Bob” MacKenzie.
Memorial donations may be made to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
