Sharon Wise Parker

Sharon Wise Parker, 85, of Frederick, Maryland passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Tranquillity at Fredericktowne.

Born March 5, 1941 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Joseph Wise and Ruth Virginia Wise.

She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved horses and carriage rides, taking day trips, baking, crafts, reading her Bible daily, and warmly hosting Christmas Eve celebrations surrounded by family.

She is survived by her lifelong companion John Dorsey Grove Sr.; one brother, Thomas Wise; sons, Michael Parker (Victoria), David Parker (Tammy), and James Parker (Noel); eight grandchildren, Shannon Parker, Crystal Kirk (David) , Ashley Knapp (fiancé Michael Peake), Chelsea Corrigan (Kolby), Brooke Shelton (Zach), Rebecca Hagar (Reece), Micheal Parker Jr, Alex Parker; also 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Deborah Wise, niece Geneva Lawson, grandson-in-law Erik Knapp.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 1, 2026 from 5-7 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home at 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.

A private funeral service will be held for immediate family on Tuesday June 2, 2026.
