Shirley Moore, 82, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 4, 1941, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Smallwood and Agnes Bessie (Weedon) Smallwood.
She was dedicated to her family, spending time together and supporting them were of great importance to her.
Shirley enjoyed shopping, watching home improvement shows, soap operas and game shows, family and gospel music.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John "Buck" Moore Sr., children; Timothy Moore (Jill), Denise Smith-Henry (Jonas), and John Moore Jr., (Linda), grandchildren; Marcus Smith, Kendra Smith, Timothy Moore Jr., Alyssa Smith-Henry and Taylor Moore, great-grandchildren; Braylon Smith, Kyleigh Smith, Jerimiah Moore, Janiah Cook, and Nzuri Davis, along with a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister; Linda Fisher, brothers; Charles Smallwood Sr., (Elaine), and Joseph Smallwood.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son; Gary Moore, and sister; Anna Weedon.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD.
A celebration of Shirley's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Petersville.
