Stanley J. Klimek, Jr.

Stanley Joseph Klimek, Jr. 79, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at his residence. He was the beloved life partner of 40 years to Debbie Mielke.

Born on November 10, 1945, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Stanley Joseph Klimek, Sr. and Bernice Filip Klimek.

He was a 1963 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and earned a BS in Business from the University of Maryland. In 1969 he began working at IBM in Gaithersburg. He worked for 34 years with IBM/ Loral /LM in various accounting positions, the last 27 years in accounting management; he retired in 2003.

Stan was a member of the Eagles, the Elks and the KOP. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially the Redskins and Orioles. Stan loved spending time at his condo in Ocean City, MD as well as a good happy hour with friends and playing cards.

Stan is also survived by daughter Karin Fredrikson and husband Ed grandsons Gunnar and Karl; and sister Carole Kyle and husband Len of South Lake Tahoe, NV.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 22, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy, MD where a celebration of Stanley's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy.
