Mrs. Stella V. (Deneen) Sigler, 86, of Waynesboro, PA, and formally of Brunswick, MD, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Hearthstone Retirement Home, Waynesboro.
Born November 21, 1938, in Warfordsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester Deneen, Sr. and Goldie V. (Tritapoe) Gosnell. She was raised by her loving mother and stepfather, Charles Gosnell.
She graduated from Brunswick High School with the class of 1957 and attended Hagerstown Business College.
She and her husband, the late John (Buddy) Sigler, whom she met at the Moose Club in Brunswick, were married December 18, 1960 in Brunswick. They shared 57 loving years of marriage together before Mr. Sigler passed away in 2016.
In her earlier years, she worked at Elm Street Elementary School and later Middletown High School as a secretary to the principal. She formally retired in June of 2000.
Mrs. Sigler was a devoted member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, MD, where she served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher. She was a proud member of the teacher’s union and was a member of the Silver Bit Riding Club.
She enjoyed traveling all around the world embracing adventure, country music, and dining out with family and friends. She was known for her impeccable style, a true “fancy lady” who was often found saying, “If it don’t shine, it ain’t mine.” Above all else, Mrs. Sigler was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who enjoyed spending time with those she loved the most.
She is survived by her three children, Stacy Nicastro and her husband Neal of Fayetteville, PA, Shelby Snyder of Hagerstown, MD, and Jeff Sigler and his wife Ginny of CO; six grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Robert, Lauren, Marcie, and Jon; 12 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Wayne Gosnell and his wife Tina, Denny Gosnell and his wife Sherry, and Debbie Stream and her husband John.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ivy, and one brother, Lester Deneen.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD where a celebration of Stella's life journey will take place at 3 pm. Interment will be private.
